Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn paid a Royal Visit to Japan between 21 and 24 August, B.E. 2560 (2017). Then Her Royal Highness paid a Royal Visit to the Republic of Ecuador between 24 and 31 August, B.E. 2560 (2017).
Her Royal Highness departed from Suvarnbhumi Airport, Samut Prakan Province, by Thai Airways International Public Company Limited flight number TG 622.

Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn attended the cremation ceremony of the late Khunying Thanat Pitiwong at the crematorium of Chonprathan Rangsarit Temple, Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi Province.

Afterwards Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously granted one delegation an audience at Dusidalai Hall, Chitralada Palace.

Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously granted an audience at Chaipattana Building, Chitralada Palace, to Professor Phairat Thatchayaphong, Committee Member and Secretary of the Information Technology Foundation under the Initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, leading three students who received the scholarships for Master Degree Education at Xi'an Jiaotong University, China, two students who received the scholarships for University College Dublin, Ireland, and three students who received Scholarships in Cooperation between Office of the Civil Service Commission and Chinese Academy of Sciences to further their doctoral education at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences to the audience with Her Royal Highness before their leaving Thailand for their further education. On this occasion, the Scholarship Selective Committee, the Executive Board Committee of the Office of the Civil Service Commission, and the students' parents also accompanied in the audience.
