Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, on behalf of His Majesty the King,  chaired the Commencement Ceremony for the graduates of Mahidol University at Chumphorn Khet Udomsak Building, Royal Thai Navy, Bangkok Yai District, both in the morning session and the afternoon session. (2,899 graduates for morning session, 2,884 graduates for afternoon session).

On this auspicious occasion, Her Royal Highness Princess Athitayadhorn Kitikhun attended an audience with Her Royal Highness to receive the Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts in the afternoon session.

From Sunday 26 June to Friday 1 July 2011 Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn paid the official visits to the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Austria.

During the visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn attended the Opening Ceremony of the 61st Meeting of Nobel Laureate at Lindau. Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn afterwards visited Hamburg at the invitation of the Royal Thai Honorary Consulate-General, Hamburg, visiting the University of Hamburg, International Maritime Museum and the German electron synchrotron DESY (Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron) in Hamburg.

During the visit to the Republic of Austria, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn visited Leopold Franzens University of Innsbruck at the invitation of the President of the University, chairing the 30th Anniversary Celebrations for the academic cooperation between Thailand and Austria. Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn afterwards visited the Tyrolean State Museum and the Institute for Quantum Optics and Quantum Information (IQOQI), Innsbruck.
