Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously granted Mr. Michael A. McRobbie, President of Indiana University, and the delegations an audience, followed by lunch, on the occasion of Her Royal Highness's Birthday Anniversary 2 April 2016 and to present the activities of the University at Srapathum Palace.

Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn paid Official Visits to the People's Republic of China and the Kyrgyz Republic from 4th to 11th April, B.E.2559 (2016). Her Royal Highness departed from Suvarnabhumi Airport, Samut Prakan Province, by Thai Airways International Public Company Limited flight number TG 674.

During the Visit to the People's Republic of China, Her Royal Highness will preside over the Opening Ceremony of the "Vernacular and Heritage International Symposium: What did Liang Sicheng Miss at Mount Wutai" to be held at the Tsinghua University, and will visit the Center for Research on Ancient Chinese History at Peking University. Her Royal Highness will also preside over and witness the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Polar Science Research under the Memorandum of Understanding between Chinese Arctic and Antarctic Administration and the National Science and Technology Development Agency of Thailand. In addition, Her Royal Highness will grant an audience to His Excellency Mr. Li Yuanchao, Vice President of the People's Republic of China, and to His Excellency Mr. Zhang Dejiang, Chairman of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China.

During the Visit to the Kyrgyz Republic, Her Royal Highness will receive the title of Honorary Professor of the Kyrgyz National University in Bishkek. Moreover, Her Royal Highness will visit various places of the importance such as the Museum of Fine Arts, the Ala Acha National Park, the Przhevalsky Museum and the Ruh Ordo Cultural Centre. On the occasion of this visit, Her Royal Highness will also meet with His Excellency Mr. Almazbek Atambaev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Mrs. Raisa Atambaeva at the President's Residence.
